Energy Conservation Month: 14th December – 13th January 2021

Introduction:

Uttar Pradesh New & Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) is designated as State Designated Agency (UPSDA) by Government of Uttar Pradesh to coordinate, regulate and enforce the provision of the Energy Conservation Act-2001 and implement schemes within the State of Uttar Pradesh. Objective: In order to identify brightest minds and innovative thought of Individuals/ Groups, UPSDA is organizing this competition on Innovations in Energy Conservation. The objective of this contest is to promote and encourage Individuals / Groups to come out with their innovative ideas in terms of energy efficiency and its conservation. It might facilitate more cost-effective and innovative ways of energy savings.


  • The Terms of Reference (ToR) for participating in the contest as described below:

    • The Contest is open to all Indian citizens
    • There is no participation fee for the same and a participant can submit multiple entries
    • The participant needs to enrol by filling the registration form provided on the website of UPSDA. The information provided here will be used for all future communications, therefore, it is the responsibility of participant to ensure that the information provided is accurate. Entries with incomplete details would not be considered
    • Please ensure that your communication details including email address is valid and operational as this is the principal means through which communication will take place
    • The last date of receiving entries is 13th January 2021 (Wednesday).
    • All entries received by the stipulated date and time and found in order, shall be evaluated by UPSDA.
    • The disqualified entries shall not be used by UPSDA for any purpose and UPSDA shall have no rights over the same
  • The selection will be based on the criteria of:

    • Innovation and Originality of concept
    • Techno-economic feasibility
    • Energy saving potential
    • Scalability and replication potential
  • The participants are required to submit a detailed concept note along with a power point presentation not more than 10 slides explaining their ideas.
  • If required, we may ask the shortlisted participants to present their ideas to bring in more information/clarity to UPSDA. Any travel, lodging and boarding cost involved in this will have to be borne by the participants
  • All the entries received will be evaluated by UPSDA. Top 2 entries from Uttar Pradesh and top 02 entries from rest of India (excluding Uttar Pradesh) will get reward and recognition by dignitaries at an event organized by UPSDA.
  • In the event of unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to amend the terms and conditions or withdraw the competition at any time.
  • The decision of UPSDA would be final and binding on all the contestants and no clarifications would be issued to any participants on any decision of UPSDA
  • Any legal proceedings arising out of the contest/ its entries/ winners shall be in accordance with laws of Union of India and that of the State of Uttar Pradesh as the case may be and the High Court of Allahabad, Lucknow bench shall have exclusive jurisdiction in all matters arising under this competition
